Back to the Gardens - Brooklyn

A boulder deposited by a glacier during the last glaciation. The terminal glacial moraine stopped at a point mid-way through what is now the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens between 13,000 and 15,000 years ago. Geologically speaking, the blink of an eye.

The Brooklyn Museum through a veil of trees.

One of the fantastic lawns at the Gardens. Good for kids and grown-ups, too. Come as you are.

The cherry blossoms are in bloom!

A London Plane tree enjoying the Spring.

The goldfish looking swimmingly at the Japanese Garden...

...and the turtles are sunning themselves properly.

Are robins getting bigger, or is it just my imagination?

There is indeed a mockingbird sitting in the leaves and brush.

This mockingbird, in fact.

A beautiful flower whose name I entirely forget, but whose grace is a gift to the daylight. Ah... Wisteria!

Travels through Gotham

The largest lofts imaginable in Sunset Park, Brooklyn

Two bikes, chained together for 6 months on Washington Ave, Bklyn, near St. Johns.

The uphill climb on Washington Ave., Bklyn, near Pacific.

The C-Town supermarket at Washington and Park Place.

One waits to see a doctor at the clinic at Bellevue. Horrid fabric roses with large plastic dew-drops pasted to the petals.

The cemetery wall at Old St. Patrick's Cathedral on Mulberry St. in Little Italy.

The Bouwerie Lane Theater building, built in 1874, on the corner of The Bowery and Bond St. appears to be waiting for a taxi.

Professional Detailing at Washington and Atlantic, Bklyn

I pass this car wash and tune-up place several times a week and finally had to take pictures of the painted cars on the windows. Inspiring DIY signage and excellent street art.
