Riding the vaporetto in Venice, Italy

Summer in Venice, a ride along the Grand Canal. What you cannot sense from this video is the soft quality of the air in Venice. Beautiful and dreamy, regardless of crying babies and people elbowing you right and left just to get a view. No complaints from me!

A side trip to Venice - please forgive the touristic eye, but quotidian Venice seems to be about the visitor

Early morning arrival in Venice. After two capuccinos I take a ride around the city on a vaporetto.

The boat leans, the camera leans, the buildings lean.

One begins to love Venice very soon into the ride.

And one feels proud, unduly, of one's Italian ancestry.
