South Street Seaport, Manhattan, at the Waxing of the Moon

This ship, named The Peking, was docked at the pier and was large and empty. When I looked at the gangway, below, I was eerily and distinctly reminded of the ghost ship in Raul Ruiz's 'Three Crowns of the Sailor.'

Kiosks making promises.

And an odd free ride - as long as you're not wearing any medically-prescribed gadgets you might be safe on this ride. What is it? Watch your step!

The lonely pier ... the East River Drive runs through it!

A smaller boat and a high moon. This place may best be viewed at night, when the tourists (god bless them) and the revelers go back to their rooms.

The Brooklyn Museum and Its Complicated Architecture at Night

Out for a stroll one evening, feeling restless, and suddenly there it was, an architectural oddity practically on my doorstep.

Central Park and the City beyond

Looking east across Central Park at 61st Street

Looking northward, from the 13th floor, at the vast greenery of the Park. The jagged tower at the top left of the photo is the Ghostbuster's building on Central Park West.

Where 8th Avenue becomes Central Park West, dusk taking over.

The back of the YMCA with Lincoln Center, westward, in the near distance.

As daylight ends and the night descends ...
